What activities can non-swimmers do on Maui?

What activities can non-swimmers do on Maui?

Many people visiting Maui are attracted to the beautiful beaches and the ocean. So we often get people asking if they are able to do Surfing or other watersports if they cannot swim.

The answer is sadly no. You are not allowed to participate in other ocean sports such as snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, or stand-up paddleboarding if you cannot swim. Learning to swim is the most important first step that you must take before you can participate in any of the other water sports.

However non-swimmers can still enjoy the beach and the ocean in other ways, such as going on a Glass-bottom boat tour, Sunset sailing,  visiting the Maui Ocean Aquarium, going on a real Submarine tour, and you can even take some Swimming lessons while you are here.

And of course, there are also many different land-based activities that you can do as well. Such as Hiking, Downhill Biking, Zip-lining, Horseback riding, ATV tours, visiting waterfalls, Helicopter rides, and many types of guided tours as well.
